AGA. LEMUEL DEAKE
Lemuel was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on March 15, 1759 in Falmouth, Maine. He was killed during the Revolutionary War in Conn. on April 15, 1780. He was a Sgt. Major in the Continental Army.
AGB. ELIZABETH CLARKE DEAKE
Elizabeth was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on May 19, 1760 at Falmouth, Maine. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle Rev. Ephraim and Elizabeth Deake Clarke. She married Capt. Jonah Dyer on July 25, 1776. They had children: Elizabeth, Polly, Almira, Clark, Mercy, Jonah, George, Charles. She died on July 31, 1843 at Gorham, Maine.
AGC. MARY DEAKE
Mary was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on July 31, 1761 at Falmouth, Maine. She died on May 19, 1809 at Falmouth, Maine.
AGD. SUSANNAH DEAKE
Susannah was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on July 19, 1763 at Falmouth, Maine. She married James Welch on April 1, 1789 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine. (James died on April 30, 1845) Susannah died on Aug 26, 1848. They had eight children, one being Benjamin Welch born Dec. 10, 1795.
AGE. ANNA DEAKE
Anna was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on November 14, 1766 at Falmouth, Maine. She died the same day.
AGF. GEORGE S. DEAKE
George was born on April 20, 1770 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury. He died on May 8, 1770.
AGG. BENJAMIN DEAKE
Benjamin was born on Oct. 1779 in Cape Elizabeth, Maine to George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury Deake. He married Abigail Standish of Portland. Their intentions to marry were recorded on Oct. 7, 1810. (She is the daughter of Lemuel Standish and Rachel (Jackson) Standish and a descendent of Miles Standish and was born in 1783, Maine. In 1830 she was listed as the head of a household in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.) Benjamin died on Aug. 7, 1854 at Portland, Maine. His wife died on Aug. 27, 1843, Portland, Maine. Male descendants in Maine appear to all have come from this line; however, the town records of Cape Elizabeth, Maine list the marriage of one Hart Deake of Cape Elizabeth, Maine to Polly Thompson of Falmouth, July 9, 1795. The Federal census of 1850 for that area lists a Cyrus Deake, age 33, wife Julia, age 32 and children; Cyrus age 9, Henry 7 and James 3; who no doubt were descendants of Hart and Polly Thompson Deake.

Charles was born on Oct., 1811 at Portland, Maine to parents Benjamin and Abigail
Standish Deake. He married Olive York Sturdivant of Portland, Me. on Sept. 13,
1838. She was previously married on Oct. 2, 1810 to Capt. Isaac Sturdivant. Her
maiden name was Olive York. Olive was born in 1812 at Portland, Maine. Charles
died on Dec. 16, 1873 at his brothers home in Boston, Mass. while on his way to
Europe.
Charles Deake Family
AGGAA. Christine Deake
Christine was born to Charles and Olive York Sturdivant Deake in 1840 at Portland,
Maine. She died on Dec. 22, 1917 at Paris, France.
AGGAB. Charles Standish Deake
Charles was born to Charles and Olive York Sturdivant Deake on March 21, 1844
at New Orleans, La. In 1859, he attended the Collegiate Imstitute and Gym in
Yonkers, Westchester, New York. At the time his residence was listed as
Brooklyn, Long Island, New York and an occupation as a Chandler. He
married Emma Amelia Carman of Brooklyn, N.Y. Charles and family lived for many
years in Brooklyn, N.Y. where several members of his family were buried.
In 1862, he registered for the draft for the Civil War, as a married man and
listed his occupation as Clerk. In 1869, he was listed in the
Brooklyn City Directory with occupaton of Shiphanlder. In 1870, his
occupation was Agent and in 1871 as Superintendant. He died on June 11, 1908 at Portland, Maine. On March 19, 1923 the
graves of his family were opened and the remains moved to the Evergreen Cemetery
in Portland, Maine.

AGGABA. Edgar C. Deake
Edgar was born on Aug. 1, 1869 at Brooklyn, N.Y. to parents Charles Standish Deake.
and Emma A. (Carmen) Deake. He died on Nov. 7, 1869.
AGGABB. Claire Louise Deake
Claire was born in 1870 at Brooklyn, N.Y. to parents Charles Standish Deake and
Emma A. (Carman Deake). She married Theodore Butterfield on May 12, 1889 in Portland,
ME. They lived in Syracuse, N.Y. Theodore was the grandson of the founder of the
Overland Express to California and was the General Passenger Agent of the
Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroad. See attached for History of OVERLAND EXPRESS.
AGGABC. George Carman Deake
George was born in 1871 at Portland, Maine to parents Charles Standish Deake and
Emma A. Carman Deake. He married Sarah Ellen Little. (She was born in Nov. 9,
1869 at Portland, ME and died on Sept. 18, 1962 at Randolph, Orange Co., VT).
He went to Schenectady and received electrical education. He worked for the Consolidated
Edison Company of New York City. He had failing health for two years. George died
on Oct. 29, 1928 in New York City, funeral services were held at the Church of
the Intercession, in New York City..
George Carmen Deake Family
AGGABCA. Standish Little Deake
Standish was born to George C. and Sarah Little Deake on Nov. 1, 1909 in New York
City. He received his education at the Trinity School in New York and received
a B.S. degree in biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1931.
He married Genevieve Margaret Grover on Feb. 2, 1935 in Springfield, MA. They
had no children.. (She died on Jan. 21, 2006 at Leeds, MA) He served as a Lieutenant
in the U.S. Naval Reserve in the European Theatre during World War II. He served
as a teacher at Milton Academy, Milton, MA. and for a time in Indianapolis, Ind.and
was Associate Headmaster at the Woodstock Country School, Woodstock, Vermont.
He died on Dec. 20, 1990.

Elizabeth was born in 1872 to parents Charles Standish Deake and Emma A. (Carman)
Deake. She died on Oct. 16, 1928 at New York City.
AGGABE. Charles Standish Deake, Jr.
Charles was born in 1877 to parents Charles Standish Deake and Emma A. (Carman)
Deake. He died on Feb. 17, 1882 at Portland, Maine.
AGGAC. Edith Deake
Edith was born to Charles and Olive York Sturdivant Deake in 1853. She married
Charles Brown. She died on November 17, 1931.
AGGAD. Rowena Deake Rowena was born on March 1859 and died on May 5, 1859. There is no proof but it is assumed that she was the daughter of Charles and Olive York Strudivant Deake.
AGGB. George Deake
George was born on April 7, 1817 at Portland, Maine to parents Benjamin and Abigail Standish Deake. He married Mary Jane (last name unknown). (She died on Mar. 2, 1892) He owned and lived in a house on Hanson St. in Boston, Mass. He died on Oct. 9, 1885 at Boston, Mass. He left no children. His brother's children contested the will of George, in which he left his property to public institutions.
AGH. MAHITABLE DEAKE
Mahitable was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on November 2, 1772 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
AGI. HANNAH DEAKE
Hannah was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on May 2, 1775 at
Cape Elizabeth, Maine. On July 9, 1795 she married Israel Jordon at Cape Elizabeth.
Her grandson Franklin Waldo Godwin used to tell about his grandmother (Hannah
Deake Jordon) who lived on Cape Elizabeth, Maine. She always wore a white lace
cap and smoked a pipe. He was allowed to have a pipe in return for reading to
her from the Bible after her eyesight got poor. She told him tales of the British
shelling the coast around her house during the War of 1812. She lived for some
time at Gray, Cumberland, Maine. Israel and Hannah had children: Mary Jordon,
Susan Jordon, Israel Jordon, Joseph Deake Jordon, George Deake Jordon, Joshua
Woodbury Jordon, Sarah Jordon, Ezeliel Jordon, Elizabeth Ann Jordon and Hannah
Abigail Jordon. Hannah died January 24, 1868 at Bangor, Penobscot, Maine and was
buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, Maine.

Joseph was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on June 6, 1777 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
AGK. SARAH DEAKE
Sarah was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on May 18, 1779 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine. She married Michael Wise. Their intentions to marry were recorded on Oct. 28, 1810.

Abigail was born to parents George Deake Jr. and Mary Woodbury on February 13, 1782 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
